Long Term Sending

We want to get to know you!

Scripture gives all of us a clear call to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28). As the Church, some of us are called to send workers into the harvest field while others are called to work the harvest field (Matthew 9). For those who want to live and serve in a cross-cultural context, we want to meet you and walk alongside you to develop a deeper understanding of who you are and how God is moving in your life.

What can you expect?

As we journey with you we want to be prayerful, intentional, and discerning. These steps will give you an idea of what to expect as you continue throughout the process:

What is the sending process?

Discovery

Complete an inquiry form and connect with someone from the Southeast Missions staff so we can get to know you and learn more about your walk with Jesus and your heart for the nations.

Preparation

After an assessment, we will build a plan and identify the ways you may need to be equipped before making progress toward the field. We want to coach and guide you in a way that is best for you and the global mission.

Placement

We will work in collaboration with trusted partners to offer additional training and equipping as we lean into how your skills and interests best fit into kingdom work.

Launch

Our aim is to send you well in order for you to flourish for your good and God's glory. We will help you get connected and further support you to thrive as you step into what God has for you.

I am interested! What is my first step? 

We are so excited that you are interested! Fill out the inquiry form and we will coordinate a meeting to talk about opportunities and learn more about you.

Do I need to be a member of Southeast? 

It is our desire that anyone who is sent from Southeast is a member of our local congregation. If you are already a member of another church, then we encourage you to talk to your pastors and leaders about how they can help.

Will I receive support and training? 

We have worked to develop multiple training resources. We will coordinate training and equipping based on your personal needs.

What are the requirements?

We require someone to be a Southeast member passionate about reaching the nations. We also have a process of determining readiness based on life stage, experience, and spiritual maturity. It is unsafe and unwise to send anyone who is not ready, so we will be as thorough as we need to be.
